We built the tool we couldn't find.
Illusly is a business management platform for freelancers, consultants, and small agencies. CRM, projects, invoicing, proposals, contracts, time tracking, and scheduling — designed as one product, not twelve.
Why this exists
The tools in this space have been around long enough to get comfortable. They raised funding, shifted focus to enterprise, and started building for investor decks instead of the people actually using them. The result is software that's over-engineered in the wrong places, under-built in the ones that matter, and priced like freelancers don't notice.
We noticed. Freelancers and small teams were paying $30–50/month for tools designed around someone else's workflow, gated behind plans that assume you're a company of fifty. Features you need on day one are locked behind tiers. Features nobody asked for are on the homepage.
So we built something different. Not a cheaper version of what exists — a more honest one. A platform where everything connects because it was designed together, where pricing reflects what freelancers actually earn, and where the roadmap is a public commitment, not a marketing exercise.
What we believe
Software should be built for the people who use it.
Not for the investors behind it. Not for the enterprise clients who might convert one day. Every feature we ship is measured against one question: does this make a freelancer's or small team's day easier? If the answer is "no, but it looks good in a pitch deck" — it doesn't ship.
Pricing is a design decision.
What you charge and how you gate features says everything about who you built for. We publish our pricing, we don't paywall basics, and we don't manufacture urgency with trials. The free plan is permanent. The paid plans are priced for people who work for themselves.
Connected beats assembled.
Most platforms in this space are a collection of acquired products wired together with integrations. That's why a tracked hour doesn't flow into an invoice, a proposal doesn't become a contract, and a won deal doesn't turn into a project without manual work. We built one system. It shows.
Transparency is the default, not the exception.
What we charge, what you get, what we're still building — it's all out in the open. If something isn't ready, we say so. If a feature has limits, you see them before you sign up. We'd rather lose a sale to honesty than win one with fine print.
Where we are
Illusly is in public beta. The core platform — CRM, projects, tasks, invoicing, proposals, contracts, time tracking, calendar, automations, reports, forms, and notes — is live and being used daily.
We're a small team, building in the open. We ship often, we fix fast, and we listen to the people who actually use this. If you have feedback, a feature request, or something isn't working — tell us. That's how this gets better.
See if it fits.
